The Arts @ Bart's are happening. Read about our Live and Recorded Music, Gallery Space, Poetry Nights and Radio ShowTHE ARTS @ BART’sLive MusicWe love music at Bart’s Café. We believe in encouraging more live music in the world so we’ve opened our café doors to people who like to play and listen to music.
Musicians of all ages have played at Bart’s Café. Well known acts and those just putting their toes in the water have played here. Some shows pack the house; others are small sessions of kindred musicians.

Hey, I'd like to perform at Bart's. If you are interested in a playing at Bart’s Cafe, please contact us. Musicians offer their music and may sell CD’s and collect donations. (We do not charge admission.)
Recorded Music
You can always depend on finding recorded music at Bart’s Café.
Finding new music through means other than the internet is increasingly hard to do. Last year, our next door neighbors at ABOUT MUSIC closed their doors. Like a mighty tree knocked down only to have new growth sprout from the roots, ABOUT MUSIC has new growth, too. On Fridays and Saturdays, John sets up a mini-version of ABOUT MUSIC at Bart’s Café. You can come in for a consultation, peruse the latest offerings and place an order. Come visit John and check out his traveling road show. You can also visit their web site at AboutMusic.com .
GalleryDo you like to check out the latest works of local artist? Bart's boasts a mini gallery where we have twelve feet of beautiful brick wall to display artworks. We have shown the works of photographers, watercolorists, print makers, painters, mask makers and mixed media artists. Every three weeks, the art in our gallery area changes. We are proud to give local artists a venue to show off their works. Hey, I'd like to show my art on Bart's gallery wall. If you are interested in showing, please speak to Al. Some of the artists who have shown at our gallery are: Moonlight Davis, photographs
PoetryEvery second Thrusday of the month a group of local poets and writers gather at Bart's Cafe at 7:00 PM. Call Bart's Bards, they start with a local published poet who reads from his or her works. Then people who have signed up before 7:00pm read from their works. All are welcome, no advanced notice required.
RadioCan't get enough of hearing Al's voice? Listen to his radio show on WMUA 91.1 FM every Monday morning between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM. The show is called Blue Monday after the great Fats Domino song. You'll hear lots of great blues, both old and new, in the first hour. During the second hour the show shifts to more singer/song writers and maybe a little jazz. Topical interviews may air and you'll catch up on the weekend's sports. It's a great start to your morning and the week. Can't get WMUA in on you radio, find us on your computer.
